आगरा में ६ तहसीलें हैं एतमादपुर, आगरा, किरावली, खैरागढ़, फ़तेहाबाद और बाह। ज़िले का मुख्यालय आगरा नगर में है। ज़िले को १५ ब्लॉक्स में विभाजित किया गया है। यहाँ दो लोकसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र फतेहपुर सीकरी और आगरा तथा ९ विधानसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र बाह, फ़तेहाबाद, एतमादपुर, दयालबाग, आगरा छावनी, आगरा उत्तर, आगरा दक्षिण, खैरागढ़ तथा फतेहपुर सीकरी हैं।
